Gillibrand was in Latham alongside other state and county leaders on Monday to introduce her Healthy Food Financing Initiative Reauthorization Act.
The bill could help bring a grocery store to Albany’s South End, where residents have gone more than two decades without consistent access to one in their neighborhood, Gillibrand said.
A former McDonald’s in the South End that was recently turned into a grocery store closed months after opening.
