Gillibrand introduced the Farm and Food Cybersecurity Act on Monday.
The bill will identify vulnerabilities and improve protective measures of both the government and private groups against cyberthreats.
It would require the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct a study every two years of cybersecurity threats to the sector.
