Glens Falls Hospital gives sneak peek of emergency room renovations
A new project is coming to Glens Falls that will transform emergency care for the people who live in Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties.
Glens Falls Hospital will unveil a plan to build a new emergency department.
The department hasn’t been updated in 30 years.
The project will double the number of rooms for the most seriously ill patients and create a designated area for mental health patients.
When it’s done, there will also be a significant amount of new space.
The expansion will set the hospital up to provide emergency care to the next generation, according to hospital CEO Paul Scimeca.
He expects the whole project will cost $25 million and will be done without taking on debt, he said.
