Glens Falls radio, hockey announcer shares story of joy, struggle

Dan Miner has been on the radio in Glens Falls for his entire adult life.

Miner is the morning drive announcer and station manager at WCKM radio, and the public address announcer at Cool Insuring Arena for the Adirondack Thunder.

His big familiar voice has been on the radio since the early 1980s, and firing up hockey fans since 1992.

Miner has also struggled with mental health, and wants to share that struggle in order to help others.

He battled depression and even tried to end his life in 2010. Thankfully, his family helped him get the help he needs.
