A Glens Falls woman is being sent to a Westchester burn unit after a fire on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at 158 Bay St. a little after 11 a.m. Deputy Fire Chief Issachar Modert said there are eight apartments in the three-story building, and the fire started in a second-floor unit.

The woman, who the Issachar said appears to be in her late 50s, had smoke inhalation and burns and was flown to the burn center at Westchester Medical Center.

The cause is under investigation.
