Gloversville cop pleads not guilty to accessing records for personal use
A Gloversville Police officer pleaded not guilty on Monday to abusing his authority to accessing records for personal use.
Chance Petteys has been charged with computer trespass, unauthorized use of a computer and tampering with public records. Petteys allegedly used the information on the computer to contact people in a "unprofessional manner" after police interactions.

Chance Petteys has been charged with computer trespass, unauthorized use of a computer and tampering with public records. Petteys allegedly used the information on the computer to contact people in a “unprofessional manner” after police interactions. He also turned off his body camera, police said.
He has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
Petteys is due back in Gloversville City Court on July 8.
