Gloversville men arrested for allegedly stealing $3,000 in merchandise from Walmart
Three men from Gloversville are facing charges for allegedly stealing over $3,000 in merchandise from the Amsterdam Walmart.
Patrols responded to reports of a theft at the shopping center around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
After arriving on the scene, the Sheriff’s deputy noticed a man fleeing the store on foot that matched the description provided by witnesses.
The suspect refused to stop for patrols after authorities asked him to stop running multiple times, officials said.
The suspect led police on a chase across Route 30. Ernest Fancher, 25, was caught some time later, according to officials.
Officials arrested the other two suspects, Kurtis Fuller, 25, and Joseph Intelisano, 62, in the Walmart parking lot shortly afterward.
Fancher is alleged to have stolen nearly $1,900 in merchandise, while Intelisano and Fuller allegedly stole over $1,200 worth of goods.
All three men are facing multiple charges, including larceny. They are due back in Amsterdam Town Court at a later date.
