Tavern hosts golf outing for Casey Frankoski scholarship
Arsenal City Tavern hosts golf outing for Casey Frankoski scholarship. She was the National Guard soldier who was killed in a chopper crash near the U.S.-Mexico border.
The Arsenal City tavern hosted its annual golf outing to raise money for the Casey Frankoski Memorial Fund.
NewsChannel 13 reported last week that the fund has reached $25,000, which makes it an endowment. The scholarship is through Excelsior University. It will support active military and veteran students who are working to earn their college degree in public service and technology.
Chief Warrant Officer Frankoski, a graduate of Columbia High School, died when the helicopter she was in went down along the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas. She was 28.
New York Guardsmen John Grassia III, of Rotterdam, also died in the crash. Jacob Pratt was seriously injured.
