GOP headquarters in Albany vandalized with Nazi symbols for second time in two weeks
The GOP headquarters in Albany has been vandalized with Nazi imagery for a second time in two weeks, party leaders announced on Tuesday.
NY GOP Chairman Ed Cox confirmed that the offices were defaced with imagery, but did not mention specifics.
“This hateful vandalism invites political violence and threatens the wellbeing of our employees and guests,” he said.
House Republican Leadership Chair Elise Stefanik called it a “disgusting criminal act” and a threat to the staff.
“”This was not a random act of vandalism—it was an escalation of political hatred deliberately aimed at intimidating Republicans and silencing our voices,” she said in a statement.
Albany Police confirmed that they responded to the vandalism around 4:20 p.m. on Monday. The investigation is ongoing.
The headquarters was struck by vandals on April 17, with swastikas being taped to the window and door.
