Governor Kathy Hochul marched in the Flushing Chinese Business Association’s annual Lunar New Year parade in Queens yesterday.

During the event, the Governor announced $30 million dollars will be allocated to help support the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.

Hochul noted that the Lunar New Year celebration is now considered a school holiday in New York State from a bill signed in September 2023.
