ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – The grandmother of a man who was gunned down outside a Stewart’s shop spoke to NewsChannel 13 today, demanding justice for her grandson.

Davyjian Grier was killed back on July 9^th when he was sitting in an SUV in the parking lot of the Stewart’s on Delaware Avenue. Police said that at least 13 rounds were fired from the gun that killed Davyjian in broad daylight.

“It’s a senseless crime, senseless, senseless crime. my grandson did not deserve this,” Marie Grier said.

Marie Greir, the grandmother of Davyjian Grier, is hoping for the person who killer her grandson to come forward.

“I just would hope that he would, like, feel guilty enough to turn himself in,” said Greir. “I just want justice. I want the person you know to pay for it.”

There is a memorial now set up in Albany on Warren Street in honor of Davyjian. People have written messages all along a wall and left candles out too.

As of this Saturday, still no arrests have been made.

Albany Police told NewsChannel 13 Saturday, “The investigation is still ongoing. Detectives are still following up on leads.”
