A person in Granville is accused of stealing a police car from an officer while he was on duty. He’s the same man shot with a Taser inside the Fort Edward Police Station in 2021, said police.
This alleged theft happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning, the mayor said, when the officer was on call.
The keys were with the officer when the suspect, Robert Murat-Hinton, allegedly stole the car and drove away.
He did not get far, said the mayor, and there were no injuries reported.
