Greene County man accused of hitting person with crutch

A Greene County man is accused of using a person’s crutch to hit another man.
State Police said Jason Legg, 38, of Windham, got into an argument with the victim on the phone on Feb. 13. The following day around noon, he arrived at the victim’s residence on Stonitch Road in the town of Windham in an irate state. The argument got physical and Legg hit him, causing minor injuries.
Legg also allegedly prevented another person from contacting authorities.
Legg was arrested and police said he had over 10 grams of an anxiety medication.
Legg was charged with criminal possession of a weapon-previous conviction, two counts of criminal mischief, criminal possession of a controlled substance and harassment.
Legg was arraigned in Durham Town Court and sent to Columbia Memorial Hospital.
