Grieving dad has closure in daughter’s 2013 disappearance
Amanda King was 27-years old when she went missing back in 2013. She was staying at the Conifer Park Drug Rehabilitation Facility in Glenville at the time.
Arthur King said Friday his daughter had been dabbling with drugs since she was a student at Bethlehem High School, but that she really got into hard drug usage after her mother died in 2007.
Arthur says when Amanda’s mother died, it devastated her. They were very close.
He remembers Amanda as a young woman with a big heart and a gregarious personality, who fell in with the wrong crowd of people.
After Amanda disappeared, Arthur says he used to visit Troy, looking for his daughter.
He knew that’s where she was hanging out at the time, and he just wanted to catch a glimpse of her and help her if he could.
