A Guilderland man is dead after crashing his motorcycle on Thursday afternoon on 787.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. on the Exit 5 off-ramp to 787. State Police said Michael F. Furch, 34, was exiting 787 on the off-ramp, when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a concrete barrier.

Furch was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the shoulder of the northbound lane of 787.

Furch died at the scene.
