The Town of Halfmoon held a special event in honor of local heroes who make sacrifices every day.

It was the inaugural “First Responder Appreciation Day”.

The town gave out free food and beverages as tokens of gratitude for the first responders who serve our communities.

This comes as the country prepares to recognize 23 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
