Halfmoon man allegedly drove drunk, fell asleep at the wheel
A Halfmoon man was arrested on Thursday after police said he was intoxicated and fell asleep at the wheel.
State Police observed a vehicle in the area of Route 9 in Clifton Park at about 2:43 a.m. The driver, Nicholas A. Rodriguez, 34 was asleep in the vehicle, which was running and in drive.
Rodriguez was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the State Police Clifton Park station, where he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.19%.
Rodriguez was issued tickets and released to a sober third party. He is due in Clifton Park Town Court on Jan. 4.
