Halfmoon woman with active felony warrant from state of Florida arrested

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Chevon D. Lawing from Halfmoon on Sunday morning for being a fugitive from justice from the state of Florida.
Officials received a public assist call at 8:20 a.m. on Squire Lane in Halfmoon, which investigation led to the arrest of Lawing.
Authorities say she was found to have an active felony warrant through the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
Lawing was arraigned in the Halfmoon Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings in the matter.
