Hands Off protests in Capital Region

As part of a message spread nationwide, a ‘Hands Off’ rally took place Saturday morning in West Capitol Park in Albany. Hundreds of people gathered to protest against President Trump and Elon Musk.

The rally in Albany is part of a mass mobilization verbal protest that many people are participating in this weekend across the entire country.

Albany wasn’t the only ‘Hands Off’ rally in our area, there were also rallies Saturday in Glens Falls, Saratoga Springs, and Troy.

The message behind this rally, along with the other ‘Hands Off’ rallies ongoing this weekend across the nation, is not consenting to the latest federal governmental decisions.

“So, we are gathered here today to help Donald Trump and his administration hands off. Hands off our democracy. Hands off our social security, hands off our health care, hands off our rights,” said one protestor.

Organizers say this event was for marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop to the latest federal actions, and to build an opposition movement against these decisions made for the country.

Zach Richter will have the latest on the rally that happened in Albany on NewsChannel LIVE at 11 tonight.
