Heavily decomposed human remains found in Pittsfield park

Pittsfield Police are investigating the discovery of human remains in Wahconah Park.

A city employee made the discovery while cutting the grass, investigators said.

The discovery was not in the area of the Waconah Park baseball field.

The remains are too decomposed to identify the body, said police, so it will be taken to the chief medical examiner’s office.
