Gov. Kathy Hochul is weighing in on the state’s migrant situation – saying it is a federal problem that requires a federal solution.
She was at the Sagamore in Bolton Landing to address the Business Council of New York State.
She started her remarks by saying she wanted to address the humanitarian crisis of 125,000 migrants who have found their way to our state – recognizing that many have come here in search of jobs.
“That is why I believe that we have such an entrepreneurial spirit in the DNA of Americans,” said Hochul. “Because it does require someone to take a risk, and leave what they know and to go across the ocean or across the border in search of something that’s elusive, but you know it’s got to be better.”
This year’s meeting is focusing on the issues that will impact businesses for the next 10 years, and how artificial intelligence can be used in business practices.
