New details to be revealed in death of inmate Robert Brooks on Thursday.
The indictment against correction officers accused of beating an inmate to death could be unsealed Thursday.
The Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office announced that there would be a “noteworthy development” in the investigation into the death of Robert Brooks at Marcy Correctional Facility in Oneida County Court.
Brooks was seen on video being punched and kicked by correction officers. A total of 17 staff members either are on suspension or have resigned.
The case will be heard Oneida County Court at 2 p.m. and will be followed by a news conference.
