Investigators: Saratoga County man kills wife while cleaning, reloading gun at home

A Saratoga County man’s gun went off and killed his wife, investigators said.
It happened Sunday just after 7:30 p.m. at 157 Howe Rd. in Greenfield.

Joseph Cuva Sr., 74, had just finished cleaning the 9 mm gun, investigators said. He was reloading it, when a bullet passed through a wall and hit Charlene Cuva, 74, in the head.
No one else was home at the time, Sheriff Michael Zurlo said. The investigation continues. No charges have been filed.
