Kelly’s Angels Summer-Lovin’ Funfest kicks off
Families are invited to enjoy food, music and more during the Kelly’s Angels Summer-Lovin’ Funfest.
The free event at Shepard Park in Lake George began Thursday July 18 at 5 p.m. It will be capped off by a drone light show followed by fireworks. The festival continues from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
It also features an exciting lineup of bands:
- Thursday, July 18 – 6 p.m. The Newell Family. 7:30 p.m. Funk Evolution
- Friday, July 19 – 6 p.m. Dirt Cheap. 7:30 p.m. E.B. JEB
- Saturday, July 20 – 5 p.m. Sundance. 7:30 p.m. Big Sky Country.
- Sunday, July 21 – 2 p.m. Doubletap;
There will also be children’s activities, raffles and more.
The event is organized by Kelly’s Angels, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids. It was started by NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland in honor of his late wife, Kelly. The charity helps kids who have lost a parent or a principal caregiver to cancer and to families who are fighting serious illnesses. They provide grants for fun experiences or to help make ends’ meet.
The organization also offers scholarships to students. This year, they have given out $46,000 to high school seniors who have overcome adversity. They also offer Hugs for Ukraine, which is a program to help children who have emigrated here.
