Man gets prison time for trying to entice child for sex

A Lake George man was sentenced on Monday to 10 years in prison for attempting to coerce a 12-year-old into sexual activity. Robert Cutter, 44, had previously admitted that on June 27, 2023, he exchanged explicit text messages with someone he thought was adult offering the girl to perform sex acts with him, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

A Lake George man was sentenced on Monday to 10 years in prison for attempting to coerce a 12-year-old into sexual activity.

Robert Cutter, 44, had previously admitted that on June 27, 2023, he exchanged explicit text messages with someone he thought was an adult offering the girl to perform sex acts with him, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Cutter then traveled to a pre-determined location in Warren County to meet up with the girl. Police arrested him when he arrived.

Cutter also must serve 15 years of post-release supervision and will be required to register as a sex offender.
