Lane closures suspended in NY state for holiday weekend

There are plans to reduce headaches for travelers over the holiday weekend.

Gov. Hochul says temporary lane closures across the state will be suspended.

Highway lanes closed for construction were reopened at 6 a.m. Friday morning, and will stay open until 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

The governor is hoping the move will help ease travel over the holiday.
