The fire broke out Sunday in Mayfield.
The Mayfield Fire Department responded to 177 Knott Road Sunday for a report of a structure fire.
Once firefighters arrived on scene, they found the house fully involved in flames.
One male, his dog and two cats were all able to make it out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the New York State Fire Investigation Team.
The American Red Cross is assisting the homeowner.
