Troy Police make arrest in connection to gun & drugs investigation

Charges are pending for one suspect who was arrested in Troy drawing a large police presence to 8th and Hutton Street.

Two suspects in connection with an ongoing weapons and drugs investigation were in a car in the area of 8th street earlier tonight, according to police. When police approached, the suspects ran away.

One suspect was captured nearby, and the other suspect is still on the run according to police. However, they did find evidence at the scene that police say will be processed as part of the investigation. They do not believe the suspect poses a threat to the community.

This is a multi-agency investigation, including several federal task forces, New York State Police and the Colonie Police Department.
