Late NewsChannel 13 photographer honored as Veteran of the Month in Albany County

There was a huge honor on Monday for a longtime member of the NewsChannel 13 family.

Albany County recognized Gene Kendrick as April’s Veteran of the Month.

Gene served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was also a photographer here at NewsChannel 13 for more than 40 years.

A ceremony was held in Albany, where his family joined local and federal lawmakers to share fond memories of Gene.

He passed away in 2015.
