A brewery in Malta is back to work this year on a special release beer. The partnership between Active Ingredient Brewing Company and two local volunteer fire departments was such a success, Amber Embers is back on tap and in cans. The fundraising effort brought in more than $1,500 for Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company and Round Lake Fire Department. $1 from every pint poured at Active Ingredient’s taproom and every 4-pack of cans will go to the fire departments. The cans sold out quickly last year, so there are more in production this time around.
