Malta man arrested for criminal contempt for violation of order of protection
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Donovan R. Grose of Malta for criminal contempt.
Authorities responded to a report of possible order of protection violation on Blue Spruce Lane in Malta at 1:07 a.m. on June 27.
After investigation, the complaint led to Grose’s arrest for first-degree criminal contempt.
Grose is accused of violating the order by failing to stay away from the protected party, as he was reportedly observed outside of the protected party’s residence at the time of the call.
Authorities say the charge was upgraded to a felony because Grose was convicted of second-degree criminal contempt within the last 5 years.
Grose was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Malta Town Court on a later date.
