Man, 22, arrested for assault, strangulation in Malta
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dillon M. Buono, 22, of Malta on Saturday for several various charges, including assault, strangulation, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Officials say Buono is accused of intentionally attempting to cause serious physical injury to another person using a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.

Buono is also charged with applying pressure to the throat or neck of another person with the intent to impede their normal breathing or blood circulation, resulting in loss of consciousness, said the Sheriff’s Office.
Officials say he also restrained another person under circumstances that exposed them to the risk of serious physical injury.
The Sheriff’s Office says this all happened with a child present during the incident.

- Second-degree assault
- Second-degree strangulation

The Sheriff’s Office says Buono was arraigned in Malta Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
