Man, 41, arrested on substance charges, tampering with physical evidence

Timothy S. Becker, 41, was arrested on January 23 in the Village of Corinth on substance and tampering with evidence charges, said the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials say they conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle failing to signal a turn onto NY State Route 9N from Hamilton Avenue in the Village of Corinth around 2:28 a.m.
They say the investigation led to the arrest of Becker, a passenger in the vehicle.
Becker is accused of possessing a narcotic drug with the intent to sell it. He was also charged with attempting to destroy a crack pipe that he believed was going to be used as evidence against him, said officials.
In addition, he physically resisted being taken into custody by deputies, said the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Becker was charged with the following:
- Second-degree obstructing governmental administration
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Resisting arrest
The driver of the vehicle, Helen I. Gough, 63, of Queensbury, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and turning without signaling, said police.
Becker was arraigned in Corinth Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
Gough was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings.
