Man accused of stealing and crashing vehicle, breaking and entering, having drugs

Shawn N. Davis, 31, of Beacon, NY was arrested on Saturday by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office following investigation into a complaint for a disturbance call in the Town of Stillwater.
The Sheriff’s Office says Davis is accused of being in possession of a motor vehicle that was reported stolen out of Washington County.
Davis allegedly crashed the vehicle on Hudson Avenue in Stillwater and after, forced his way into an occupied residence on the same road by breaking the glass window to a door, said officials.
The Sheriff’s Office adds he was allegedly later found to be in possession of two grams of cocaine.
Authorities say the occupants of the residence that Davis allegedly broke into were able to safely exit the home.
Davis was arrested and charged with the following:
- Second-degree burglary
- Third-degree criminal possession of stolen property
- Third-degree criminal mischief
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
He was arraigned in Milton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings in Stillwater Town Court.
The Sheriff’s Office says their Special Operations Team and Crisis Negotiation Unit also assisted at the scene.
