Albany man admits to smashing windows of Albany patrol car
A man has admitted to damaging property at Albany Police’s South Station headquarters.
Laquan Brown, 24, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to four criminal mischief charges for the Aug. 22 incident. He smashed the front door of the building and windows on police vehicles before being restrained by officers, investigators said.
Brown tossed a brick into the front door at the station. Then, he took that brick and went to the police parking lot, where he smashed windshields on two vehicles and the back window of a third unmarked SUV, according to surveillance video.
Brown is facing 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison when sentenced on Jan. 10.
