Man arraigned on murder charge in killing outside Albany strip club

A Latham accused of shooting and killing a man outside Ciro’s strip club last month was arraigned Friday morning.

Ulias Kornegay, 35, allegedly killed Kwon Lillard, 36, in the parking lot of the business at 1118 Broadway on May 24 around 2 a.m. The shooting stemmed from a fight, investigators said.

Lillard had several gunshot wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kornegay pleaded not guilty to a six-count indictment that included charges of second-degree murder, three counts of criminal possession and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Kornegay was sent to Albany County Jail.
