Man arrested for DWI in stolen car

Authorities say they found a Cobleskill man, drunk and asleep behind the wheel of a running, stolen car.

Albany County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 43-year-old Christopher Sumner.
They say they found him asleep at the wheel of a running car in New Scotland.
Investigators say the car was in drive, and that Sumner had his foot on the brake, and that the car was reported stolen out of Cobleskill.
He is charged with DWI, possession of stolen property, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
He was arraigned and released.
