Man charged in connection with shooting of two Pittsfield men
Police have made an arrest in the murder of a Pittsfield man on Monday.
Jeremy Stanton, 38, is accused of shooting and killing Ryan Babcock on Monday. The 38-year-old Babcock was found dead in a vehicle from gunshot wounds.
Stanton was arrested on Wednesday in Hampshire County on unrelated outstanding warrants for a probation violation, assault with a dangerous weapon and vandalism stemming from a June 2 incident, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office.
A suspect has been arrested in connection with a June 14 shooting that injured two Pittsfield men. Police arrested Deakan Sayers, 18, on Putnam Avenue Friday. Sayers is now facing weapons and assault charges.
The late afternoon shooting happened in the area of North Street at Bradford Street.
The victims were treated at Berkshire Medical Center and eventually released.
