Man charged in fatal Colonie hit-and-run due back in court later this month The man accused of hitting a woman with his car on Wolf Road in Colonie is due back in court later this month. Heath Mabeus, 37, of Clifton Park, is accused of driving into a woman who was walking across the busy road Friday morning around 6:30 a.m. Police said Mabeus did not stop, and took off.

Mabeus did not stop and took off, police said.

The victim, 58-year-old Migdalia Aulet, died. She lived in Schenectady. She was not in a crosswalk, police said.

Officers were able to identify the car that hit her, and ultimately the driver, they said.

Mabeus was arrested at his home.

Police have not said if speed, or drugs or alcohol played a part, and why Mabeus didn’t stop.
