Man pleads not guilty in fatal Albany stabbing

A Long Island man was arraigned on Wednesday for his alleged role in a deadly stabbing in Albany last June. 

Fabian Martinez-Reyes, 20, of Port Jefferson, is facing charges of second-degree murder and gang assault in connection with the death of 24-year-old Abel Vasques-Bautista.

It happened on June 3rd around 3:40 a.m. in the 400 block of Washington Avenue.

Martinez-Reyes pleaded not guilty in Albany County Court and was sent without bail to Albany County Jail.

He faces 25 years in prison if convicted on both counts.

This is the third person charged in this case.

Marco Reyes-Lopez, 24, and Javier Martinez-Reyes, 27, also have been charged.
