Man tied to Albany Police crash appears in court

A man tied to a crash involving four Albany police officers was in court Monday.
Rahmel Carter was arrested last September, after a domestic incident near Madison Avenue and Quail Street.
Two officers trying to arrest Carter called for backup after being exposed to powered cocaine that police said Carter had on him. The other officers crashed while racing to help.
Rahmel Carter has another appearance set for Jan. 10 to take a plea offer.
Carter is also scheduled to appear Jan. 15 on drug charges.
