Marchetti elected Pittsfield mayor
Voters have elected Peter Marchetti to be the next mayor of Pittsfield.
Marchetti received 62% of the vote compared with 38% for John Krol, according to unofficial returns.
Issues with both men surfaced during the campaign. Marchetti is named in a civil lawsuit that alleges a hostile work environment and gender discrimination at Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, where Marchetti is an executive.
Krol also faced allegations that he stole $6,800 from a nonprofit, according to NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle.
