Mavis Discount Tire loses appeal in Schoharie limo crash

Mavis Discount Tire has lost its appeal that it is not responsible for the deadly 2018 Schoharie limo crash.

Twenty people were killed when the brakes on the limo failed.

Mavis serviced the limo at its Saratoga Springs shop before the crash. The families of the victims said the company shares some of the blame, because the shop placed a DMV inspection sticker on the limo without inspecting it.

Mavis said during arguments with the appellate judges that the limo company operator – the Hussains – are to blame.
