Mechanicville water being shut off to repair broken water main

All water service to the city of Mechanicville was being temporarily shut down on Monday evening.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says this is due to a water main break on Fourth Street.
People who live in the area say the city’s pipes are so old, it’s not unusual.
Once repairs are made, a boil water advisory will be issued.
