He’s back. Albany Empire owner Antonio Brown held a news conference Wednesday afternoon to name Tom Menas as head coach. Menas was fired a week before the season started and is now returning to the team.

There was also talk Menas would also bring Damon Ware back to the coaching staff. Ware was fired on Monday as the interim head coach. However, NewsChannel 13’s Rodger Wyland has learned that Ware is now headed to Orlando.

Menas told NewsChannel 13’s Rodger Wyland ahead of the news conference that there are no hard feelings, and he’s ready to get this team back on the trail towards a championship.

“I think one of the worst things we can do as humans is waste energy on things behind us.”

“The hard feelings that I have or had weren’t ever earmarked at anybody. They were earmarked at the situation,” Menas told NewsChannel 13’s Rodger Wyland. “I think one of the worst things we can do as humans is waste energy on things behind us.”
