A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on I-787 on Friday afternoon.

State Police responded to the Exit 7W ramp just after 1:30 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle crash.

The motorcycle caught fire, causing a small brush fire in the immediate area, police said. It has been extinguished.

The motorcyclist was transported to Albany Medical Center with significant injuries.

Troopers are still on the scene and the ramp is still closed for removal of the motorcycle and monitoring.
