Multi-million dollar renovation project planned for Wilton Mall
Ferraz Khan purchased the Wilton Mall last Thursday for $25 million. He now has revealed part of his massive renovation plan for the mall.
Khan spoke at a Wilton Town Board meeting Thursday night on the renovation project.
“Unfortunately, we feel the mall has been a bit neglected, over the past several years. So, we have plans to renovate the mall and give it a pretty substantial renovation,” Khan told NewsChannel 13.
Khan said he plans to bring in a dozen new restaurants, entertainment, and national stores.
Khan told the town board Thursday that he already has seven tenants that are expected to open up their businesses in the next eight months.
Khan has a plan to build housing attached to the mall but said this won’t happen for about two and a half years with the first priority being the mall itself.
Khan is local, from Albany and went to Shaker High School.
“I remember when it opened, and it was, as I said, inside it was a new mall when it opened. It was really lively and thriving and we’re really hoping to bring that back. We’re really hoping to turn it into something that the area can be proud of,” said Khan.
