Multiple shootings in less than 24 hours leave Albany on edge
A string of shootings in less than 24 hours has left the city of Albany on edge.
Quadair Hoffler, 21, was shot in the head. He was found in a car on the 200 block of Yates Streets around 1:40 a.m., according to investigators. Hoffler was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center.
Windows were shot at businesses at 130 and 132 Madison Ave. around 11:30 a.m. There was also evidence of gunfire.
A 19-year-old man walked into Albany Memorial Hospital a short time later with gunshot wounds to his hip and buttocks.
No one is in custody and all three are under active investigation.
