Nash Weston Onorato Memorial Foundation starts mission with bocce tournament
A comprehensive look at local, statewide and national news events is provided by the NewsChannel 13 Team, along with updates on sports and the weather forecast.
After NewsChannel 13’s Chris Onorato and his wife, Ashley, a former NewsChannel 13 sports anchor, lost their baby boy, Nash, two weeks before his due date, they received critical healing help from local non-profits. Chris and Ashley recently created the Nash Weston Onorato Memorial Foundation to bring more awareness to stillbirths and infant loss, while also giving back to those local organizations which helped them.
The first ever fundraiser for the Nash Weston Onorato Memorial Foundation was held on Saturday at the Troy Italian Community Center, where a full field of players hit the bocce courts and took part in raffles and silent auctions.
Our Subrina Dhammi sat down with Chris and Ashley, who are sharing their story for the first time publicly almost a year after the lost Nash. You can see that full story on the NewsChannel 13 YouTube channel:
