National Grid: Power restored to 75%+ of upstate customers that lost it
National Grid said early Wednesday evening they’ve restored power to around 76% of the 198,000 customers who lost it in Tuesday’s storms.
The most severely impacted areas were Albany, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Warren and Washington counties.
There are 3,000 people working to restore power, said National Grid. That includes people from Canada, Connecticut, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and Vermont.
National Grid is now working to update restoration times.
